Join us on an unforgettable summer trekking adventure through the fells of Swedish Lapland, one of the most beautiful and untouched hiking regions in Scandinavia.

Starting from Riksgränsen and ending in Abisko, this week-long hike takes you through dramatic Arctic landscapes — from open plateaus and tranquil valleys to crystal-clear lakes and wildflower meadows beneath snow-dusted peaks.

This is a genuine Wild Hikes Finland experience, designed for those seeking solitude, challenge, and the quiet magic of the far north.

Tour Highlights

• Remote Nordic Wilderness: Hike across one of Europe’s last true wilderness regions, far from crowds and noise.

• From Mountains to Valleys: Follow a varied route from the high border fells of Riksgränsen down to the lush valleys of Abisko National Park.

• Camp Beside the STF Huts: Sleep under the northern sky, next to mountain huts offering access to basic facilities like kitchens and outhouses.

• Guiding: Experienced wilderness guide leading the trek and ensuring safety and local insight.

• Group Gear: Shared expedition equipment – tents, stoves, cooking sets, and sleeping bags.

• Meals: Full board during the trek (breakfast, trail lunch, dinner).

• Logistics: Group organization, route planning, and wilderness permits.

• Personal clothing and footwear (detailed packing list provided).

• Accommodation before or after the hike.

• Optional indoor accommodation at STF huts (available locally, subject to space).

Practical Information

Most nights are spent camping near STF huts, allowing optional access to indoor common areas (such as kitchens and drying rooms).

Participants may upgrade to indoor overnight accommodation at these huts upon arrival, depending on availability — note that advance reservations are not possible.

Getting There

The trek starts in Riksgränsen and ends in Abisko. Both are easily reached by train or bus from Kiruna, which has regular flight connections to Stockholm.
