Halti Arctic Light Ski Expedition – Polar Night Edition
Halti Arctic Light Ski Expedition – Polar Night Edition
Max group: 8 persons | Minimum age: 18
Overview
Experience the deep, silent beauty of the Polar Night on a week-long ski journey through the snowy valleys and fells of Finland’s far north – where midwinter stillness and the faint Arctic glow create an unforgettable atmosphere.
This special edition of our Halti expedition follows gentler routes across frozen lakes and open tundra, offering the full Arctic mood in a slightly lighter form – perfect for those wanting a true wilderness adventure without the summit push to Halti itself.
This is the softer winter twin of our classic Halti Expedition – the same remote Arctic wilderness, simply at a more relaxed pace.
The route stays below the highest peaks, exploring the vast white landscapes of Käsivarsi Wilderness, far beyond the Arctic Circle. Each day we ski 10–15 km between wilderness huts, starting and ending in Kilpisjärvi. The days are short and the light ethereal – blue by day, and with luck, glowing green by night.
Available every year from late December to January, including our New Year Special departures.
