Overview
Embark on a guided week-long ski expedition through Finland’s remote Käsivarsi Wilderness, the most mountainous region in the country and home to Finland’s highest peak, Halti (1,324 m).
This adventure takes you far above the treeline, across windswept fells, and deep into the Arctic silence of Lapland’s far north. Nights are spent in cozy wilderness huts, with tents carried for safety and the option of one wild camping night for those who wish to experience true Arctic solitude.
Available from December to early May, this tour combines the authentic feel of an expedition with the comfort of warm huts and the guidance of experienced Arctic professionals.

Transportation: Round-trip airport transfers from Tromsø Airport.

Accommodation: Wilderness huts during the tour (without electricity or running water), and cozy hotel accommodation with sauna in Kilpisjärvi at start and finish.

Meals: Full board – three meals daily, including warm camp meals and restaurant dinners at the start and end.

Skiing Equipment: Backcountry skis, poles, pulkkas, and ski boots (NNN BC binding system – provide shoe size upon booking).

Camping & Safety Gear: Sleeping bags, tents for emergencies, cooking equipment, and satellite communication.

Seasonal Departures
Guaranteed group departures run every year from New Year to late March, with special wild camping variations in April.
Private and custom tours are also available from December through early May.
Airport Transfers
The tour begins and ends at Tromsø Airport (Norway).
Flight timetables vary slightly each year, but there are typically morning, afternoon, and evening arrivals.
Our group transfer is scheduled to meet the evening flight arriving around 18:50, with return transfers timed for flights departing after 11:00 on Saturdays.
